|When was the last time you daydreamed? Or sat back, closed your eyes and really listened to some beautiful music? Or drifted in thought at the artwork on your wall?|
Turn off the TV and notice the sounds of silence. What do you hear? Traffic outside? Voices? Chirping? A neighbor’s television? We so often exist in sensory overload that we become unaware just how over-stimulated we are. Our bodies and minds need a rest from the constant stream of sights and sounds. So become still, find some quiet and appreciate it.
Self-care includes time to veg, sleep, be lazy and “unproductive” sometimes. Unplug and unwind. Light a candle and get comfortable. We all need it. Take this time to take it easy sometimes. You’ll be glad you did.
